Felixstowe Ferry Sailing Club has a Wireless Hotspot which allows you to use your wireless laptop, Mac or PDA to access the Internet at broadband speeds from the clubhouse. This is a free service for all members and may at the clubs discretion be extended on a temporary basis to guests. General access, subject to the Acceptable Use Policy is also expected to be made available to all competitors attending FFSC run open meetings.
It is now much easier to connect to the club's wifi - you don't need to enter a username / password or reconfigure your proxy settings. The network is still secure and the connection settings will be changed periodically. If you have any connectivity problems see Mary for the latest "password" (i.e. WEP key).
It should be noted that the club has a usage cap on its broadband access. Whilst the cap is quite high, the club reserves the right to restrict access to the service if the cap looks as though it may be breached.
